Certrec Corporation was founded in 1988 to provide quality engineering
and electronic services to the commercial nuclear industry.
Certrec is rapidly moving forward and expanding its
principal services areas of computer/electronic research and application,
engineering services, and training to a technical industry.
Engineering Services
From its inception, Certrec has provided strong engineering
support to the electric industry. With its initial focus
on the commercial nuclear industry, Certrec has always provided
extensive backgrounds and capabilities in the nuclear
engineering and licensing areas. Certrec now provides
experienced and profession engineering support and services in:

Region IV Utility Group - RUGIV
Since 1989, Certrec has provided technical and administrative
support for the NRC Region IV Utility Working Group - RUGIV.
Certrec manages technical issues and coordinates activities of
the 14 member utility group assisting in improved communication between
the member utilities and the Nuclear Regulatory
Commission.
Nuclear Licensing for Operating Reactors Training
In 1990, Certrec introduced its now popular Nuclear Licensing
for Operating Reactors Training course for personnel at US
nuclear operating facilities. Developed by former utility
licensing managers, the course focuses on real examples and
practical application of licensing principals and
regulations. Certrec has provided training to personnel at
over 70% of the US Commercial Nuclear Industry.
Electronic, Computer, and Internet Services
RECALL® Web
Certrec's developed, maintains, and hosts the RECALL® Web internet
site containing the latest in information relative to the nuclear
industry. The ever growing data base is organized in a
series of 'electronic file cabinets' for ease of retrieval.
Combined with real time full text search and retrieval capability,
RECALL® Web provides the ultimate in regulator research.
Electronic Data Services
In the early 1990's, Certrec pioneered systems and techniques
for electronic searching and retrieval of critical
information. Through this process, Certrec developed
extensive capabilities in
- Conversion of Hard Copy Documents to Electronic Forms
- Converting Electronic Document Formats
- Managing and Retrieving Major Libraries of Documentation
Originally developed to support its Recall Research program,
Certrec has expanded these capabilities and performs document
conversion, research, retrieval, and organization services for
numerous clients including the Department of Energy and major US
corporation.
Internet and Hosting Services
In the 1990s, Certrec migrated its major research and
document retrieval projects to an internet structure. With
this migration came the development of extensive network,
internet, and web development capabilities. Certrec
maintains its own network infrastructure and cluster of internet
servers providing hosting services for Certrec's major research
sites and specialized customer sites.
Specialized Web Site Development Services
Certrec develops and hosts specialized corporate web
sites. With the experience and training of Microsoft
Certified Solutions Developers on staff, and the expertise of
web design specialist, Certrec can develop and implement secure
specialized sites for the most demanding customer.
