Last month, we asked our audience: Which NERC standard requires disturbance and fault recording to support grid reliability? Overall, the most voted answer was PRC-002, with 83 percent of the vote. In second place, FAC-003 and BAL-002 tied with 8 percent each. Finally, MOD-025 received zero percent of the vote.

The correct answer is NERC standard PRC-002, which requires disturbance and fault recording to support grid reliability by mandating the installation and maintenance of disturbance monitoring equipment.
