Fort Worth, Texas (PRWEB)

Certrec, a leading provider of nuclear compliance and advanced online solutions, announced today that pandemic controls have been built into its Fatigue Rule Management System (FRMS).

On March 28th, the NRC issued a letter regarding alternate work-hour controls and later that week, a FAQ page was available online. Certrec acted swiftly in response to the letter and developed pandemic alternate work-hour controls that are now ready to be deployed and used at nuclear sites across the country.

“In a time when so much is unknown and unpredictable, we want to facilitate compliance with these new rules because we know our clients are focused on public health and safety,” states Kayla Krynski, Project Coordinator. “Within a week of the letter, we added the new rules into our existing FRMS platform so our clients have an easy-to-use platform that will relieve them of the burden of calculating the new work hour controls.”

The platform is now live and nuclear plants can be onboarded very quickly. The tool is fully supported by Certrec’s support staff, covers the four main rules outlined in the letter, and has training ready to make the change as seamless as possible. As with all of our other tools, Pandemic FRMS (pFRMS) is web-based, so there is nothing to install on servers or computers and it can be accessed without a VPN from anywhere you have a browser and internet. It was developed using our ISO 27001 Quality Program and is delivered from our state-of-the-art US-based infrastructure to assure the best quality and security.

“One of our main goals at Certrec is to help solve our client’s problems so they can focus on other important tasks,” noted Michelle Thomas, Executive Director of Operations. “With our FRMS being released earlier this year, it made sense for us to add the alternate work hour controls as an option for clients to use during this temporary time of need. We are very excited to have this available so quickly and look forward to supporting nuclear plants as we continue to navigate these uncharted waters.”
