NRC Regulatory Expert Al Haeger Joins Certrec’s Office of Licensing and Compliance

Expert Offers Direct NRC Licensing, Regulatory Affairs, ROP Task Force, and Nuclear Fleet Experience to Certrec Clients

Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) May 13, 2011 — Certrec, a leading regulatory licensing and compliance solutions provider, is pleased to announce that noted nuclear compliance expert, Al Haeger, has joined Certrec as Manager of Certrec’s Office of Licensing and Compliance, a full-service NRC compliance solution for nuclear generators.

“Even before the devastation at Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, the nuclear industry struggled with maintaining operating licenses and effectively managing the impact of the regulatory process,” notes Ted Enos, CEO of Certrec. “Having a 27 year industry veteran like Al Haeger join our team as Manager of our Office of Licensing and Compliance is very exciting,” says Enos. “People in the industry recognize that Al has a track record for innovation and consistently provides insightful analysis regarding NRC licensing, regulatory compliance, and performance issues.”

“Certrec’s Office of Licensing and Compliance is the nuclear industry’s first, end-to-end, licensing and compliance solution,” says Al Haeger. “In an industry of ever-changing and conflicting regulations, the Office of Licensing and Compliance (OLC) helps compliance professionals manage the licensing and compliance process to their advantage.”

“Combining daily notification of important NRC alerts and issues, an online document library, inspection management and compliance tools, Licensing Basis management, technical engineering and human performance services, OLC is a single-source, get the job done, compliance toolbox. How exciting is that?” asks Haeger.

Prior to joining Certrec, Mr. Haeger, a Licensing Engineer, managed site Regulatory Affairs, Radiation Protection, and acted as Control Room Supervisor for a high-performing nuclear fleet. He was an active member of the ROP Task Force, he implemented fleet-wide / multi-site licensing actions and provided team leadership for an SRO licensee. In addition, Al provided leadership for team assessments, fleet-wide safety culture improvements, site response to groundwater Tritium issues, and developed multiple training and development programs.
