The DOD SkillBridge program is an opportunity for service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. DOD SkillBridge connects transitioning service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences.

Regulatory Affairs Specialist
(Nuclear Background Required)

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist (Nuclear Background) ensures compliance with nuclear regulations and standards. Responsibilities include managing licenses, documentation, audits, risk assessment, and communication with regulatory agencies.

Project Manager

The Project Manager (Energy Industry Focus) is pivotal in leading projects within the energy sector, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities include overseeing project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and project execution. The role demands effective communication with team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure project objectives are met. Additionally, the Project Manager will conduct risk assessments, manage project changes, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

NERC CIP Analyst

The NERC CIP Analyst ensures NERC CIP standards compliance, analyzing procedures, identifying security gaps, and recommending improvements. Responsibilities include managing documentation, leading audits, and conducting training to maintain standards. The role demands collaboration with teams and regulatory bodies for compliance and corrective actions, involving risk assessments and enhancing cyber and physical security to protect energy infrastructure. The Analyst will also participate in the development and execution of risk assessments.

This is at no cost to the service members. The program connects service members with industry partners offering real-world job experiences as they transition to the civilian workforce. What does Certrec's Skillbridge Program offer?

Under Certrec’s Skillbridge program, Certrec will host and train active-duty military members during their last 180 days of service. After this period is over, Certrec will help Skillbridge program members find long-term employment in the energy industry. Opportunities at Certrec include regulatory affairs specialist, program management, and more. Upon completion of the program, trainees will be enabled to succeed in the energy industry. During interface with separating or retiring personnel, Certrec will look for other energy industry skill sets such as maintenance, operations, project management, and more to provide candidates for employment to generation facilities and operating companies.
