Fort Worth, TX (PRWEB) May 12, 2011 — Certrec, a leading regulatory licensing and compliance solutions provider, is pleased to announce that noted NERC expert Brent Hebert has joined Certrec as Manager of Electric Reliability within Certrec’s Office of NERC Compliance, a full-service NERC compliance solution for Registered Entities.

“We are very excited to have Brent join the Certrec team,” says Ted Enos, CEO of Certrec. “Not only does Brent offer our clients extensive industry experience with leading utilities (such as Entergy, Calpine, ERCOT, and the Midwest Independent System Operator (MISO)), Brent’s direct involvement with developing NERC Reliability Standards and Compliance Audit requirements over the past 5 years will help our clients better manage the regulatory process to their advantage.”

Previously, Brent provided direction, advice and counsel to all levels of executive and line management while driving and overseeing the activities of NERC committees and teams for 76 power plants and commercial operations participating in all 8 NERC Regions.

“Having built corporate-wide NERC compliance programs within large organizations, I am intimately acquainted with the challenges of implementing Cultures of Compliance,” says Brent Hebert. “I’ve successfully avoided non-compliance penalties in excess of $102 M through compliance monitoring programs that identify areas of risk and ensure compliance on an ongoing basis.”

“But I never had the tools Certrec’s Office of NERC Compliance offers to help manage the complexity of NERC. I’m excited to share these tools, especially our NERC Monitoring service and Certrec’s regulatory process expertise, with the hard-working compliance professionals who try to maintain compliance in a constantly-changing regulatory arena.”
