Certrec, a leading regulatory compliance provider for NERC and FERC compliance, announced today new additions to its Office of NERC Compliance (ONC) team.
FORT WORTH, Texas August 18, 2020

Certrec, a leading regulatory compliance provider for NERC compliance and advanced online solutions, announced today that its Office of NERC Compliance team is growing. Sonja Myers joins the team as a Senior Plant/Transmission System Analyst. Steven George and Brian Patin are coming in as ONC Compliance Analysts.

“Sonja, Steven, and Brian all are accomplished leaders with successful careers in regulatory compliance for the energy industry,” said Certrec CEO, Ted Enos. “We are delighted to welcome them to the Office of NERC Compliance team.”

Mrs. Myers brings more than three decades of commercial nuclear experience, including NERC regulatory compliance, with a focus on leadership, design and licensing basis, project management, and plant and process management. In her previous role as a Design Engineering Director at Catawba Nuclear Plant, she managed the Routine Design Engineering project and Design Basis. “I look forward to using my experience and knowledge of NERC standards, configuration management, project management, technical issues resolution, and causal analysis to benefit the ONC team,” stated Myers.

Mr. George is an accomplished quality assurance and audit professional with more than a decade of experience in managing complex quality and internal control programs for companies in the electric industry, such as A&W Energy and DP Engineering. In his previous experience as a Quality Manager at A&W Energy, he managed the launch of the company’s first nonconformance and corrective action program. “Certrec has a reputation for innovation, and I’m excited to bring my regulatory compliance expertise to the table,” George said.

Mr. Patin brings more than three decades of experience including in the areas of NERC compliance, nuclear operations, operations and emergency planning training instruction, ASME in-service testing, emergency drills, emergency planning, and surveillance testing. “I’ve partnered with Certrec on several contract projects in the past and have always had a wonderful experience working with the team. I am excited to join the ONC team as an analyst,” stated Patin.
